So when the folks at the Green Project, a non-profit building supply shop in New Orleans that offers an amazing array of salvaged and recycled materials, asked if I would be a judge for their annual design contest, I jumped at the chance.
Partly because I'm a huge fan of what the Green Project is doing, partly because I've had a long standing love affair with the Crescent City, partly because all of the artisans in the competition were required to use found or reused materials, and partly because all of the pieces will be auctioned off on September 14th (more details on that here) to help keep the Green Project going for years to come.
Nearly fifty artisans entered. Below you'll find a sneak peek at some of my favorite looks.
If you're in town, go bid!
